I thought Ninja Gnome would be a fun, quirky addition to the garden—but ever since he arrived, things have gotten…weird. I wake up at 3 a.m. to the faint sound of a gong. My cat refuses to go near him, and squirrels launch themselves skyward the second they spot him over by the bird feeder. Once, I blinked and I swear he moved a foot closer to the house. He’s adorable in his black “ninja-like” outfit, sure, but I didn’t expect to feel like I’m being silently stalked or shadowed every time I water the marigolds. One star because he’s cute, but I’d like to sleep at night without wondering if he’s standing somewhere in the shadows of our bedroom patiently waiting, watching, and plotting.
