Work Experience
Front-End Web Developer
RYNO Strategic Solutions
Phoenix, Arizona (Remote in ID)
June 2024 – May 2025
11 months
As a Front-end Web Developer at RYNO Strategic Solutions, I play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the functionality of hundreds of websites and landing pages. This role includes performing regular content updates, integrating APIs, customizing sites, troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and maintaining content accuracy. I also regularly collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, SEO strategists, and account managers to deliver a seamless user experience and unmatched lead generation for RYNO clients.
Notable Achievements:
- While assisting the SEO Onboarding Team with a new client’s website migration to RYNO, I discovered that the meta data for every new page did not match the meta data for the client’s existing pages. If the new website had launched in its current state, their established SEO rankings would have suffered greatly and the client would have been justifiably upset. Fortunately, this issue was resolved prior to launch, their SEO rankings remained intact, and the client was unaware of the potential problems.
Software Engineer II
PowerSchool Group
Folsom, California (Remote in UT)
February 2017 – January 2024
6 years, 11 months
Assisted in the development of high-performance, highly scalable web applications used by millions of students, faculty, and parents from over 60,000 K-12 schools worldwide. To meet the requirements outlined by Product Managers and the Design team, I utilized a variety of coding languages to achieve our objectives. These included HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, React, and a sprinkling of Java.
Notable Achievements:
- Contributed to the design and development of the PowerSchool Design System (PDS), a comprehensive collection of reusable components and global styling variables used to unify the look and feel of all applications and products.
- Utilizing the PDS styling library, I served as the lead developer for reskinning the entire line of student products. In many cases, I was required to write custom JavaScript and jQuery overrides to guarantee a seamless look and feel, preventing the introduction of bugs on the Production environment when applying PDS.
WordPress Web Developer
Vermont Web Solutions
Essex Junction, Vermont
September 2013 – February 2017
3 years, 5 months
Designed and developed fully customized, responsive websites for local businesses and non-profits using WordPress as a CMS. Managed all aspects of client websites including content updates, maintenance, security, SEO, and implementing back-end updates and upgrades to ensure minimal downtime. In addition, I offered photography services, graphic design services, domain management, technical support, and authored technical documentation when requested.
Notable Achievements:
- The Growler Garage: Created a fully custom, professional-looking website from scratch, generating substantial community buzz that resulted in the store having a wildly successful Grand Opening. The Growler Garage website was my Opus Magnus as a self-employed website designer and developer.
- Oktoberfest Vermont: Designed and developed a website that served as the primary source for people to gather information about the event and purchase tickets for this popular weekend-long festival. I successfully managed the website and avoided any downtime even as it experienced a 2700% surge in traffic during periods of peak ticket sales.
- Vermont Web Solutions Clients: Following my departure from Vermont to Utah in 2017, many of my clients unfortunately went out of business, began self-managing their websites, or handed over the website management reins to others. Regrettably, the present condition of the remaining websites falls short of the professional quality and meticulous design I originally crafted.
Production Web Developer

Notable Achievements:
- Closed over 3000 tasks from the Custom Services production queue and maintained a task closure accuracy rate of 97%.
- Migrated 2500 Chrysler dealership websites to a new website design. In addition, migrated 65 websites and all custom work to a new CMS platform in only 10 days.
- Served as the lead developer for the migration of all new Audi North America websites to Dealer.com’s proprietary CMS.
Web Developer / Digital Media Specialist
Renewable NRG Systems
Hinesburg, Vermont
March 2002 – August 2012
10 years, 5 months
Served as Renewable NRG Systems’ Web Master by creating and maintaining all affiliated websites, landing pages, microsites, and HTML email templates. Responsibilities included creating wireframes, drafting sitemaps, custom coding (CSS & HTML), staff & product photography, graphic design, and copy editing. In addition, I was responsible for ensuring compliance with the corporate style guide by employees, resellers, and partners.
Notable Achievements:
- Reduced monthly marketing expenses by 30% by taking the lead on managing websites, being the on-staff photographer, creating email templates, and designing all marketing collateral in-house instead of using an outside marketing firm.
- Led the initiative to digitize, organize, and upload to a cloud-based platform an extensive asset library that spanned over 20 years of company history, freeing up an enormous amount of network drive space. Completion of this project allowed staff and partners to access approved digital assets from anywhere in the world, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Designed and launched a Change Request Form in SharePoint that greatly improved and streamlined the turnaround time of change requests for the corporate website, microsites and landing pages.

Chris and I worked on the same team at PowerSchool for several years. Chris is great to work with and a valuable member of any team. He is a very skilled developer and had to work in several different applications and stacks in his time at PowerSchool.
He is very capable of learning new systems quickly. Chris is also very skilled at front-end technologies (HTML/CSS/Javascript). I wish I had his ability to write CSS code, his work is pixel perfect from a desktop to mobile. His background in design make the applications he produces match perfectly to what the mockups show. He is very detail oriented. Chris was always willing to help me when I started at the company. He is a great mentor and friend.

I worked with Chris during his tenure at Performance Matters, People Admin, and Powerschool. He was a HUGE asset to the development of our Professional Learning application. Chris was tasked with styling a legacy product and helping brighten up a very legacy product and get it looking good. This was no easy feat given the complexity and chaotic design of our application. He was successful though and our system received a huge facelift thanks to his work. As a matter of fact, his stylings are still in use today.
If you want someone who knows the ins and outs of CSS, the inner workings of browsers, and how to make your web application look great, I’d definitely recommend Chris to your team. He is dedicated to getting the job done right and will take your application to the next level.

I had the pleasure of working with Chris at NRG Systems for almost 10 years. Chris was part of the marketing team that I managed and was responsible for all digital marketing including web development & maintenance, product imaging & management, and collateral development.
Chris is an “attention to detail” perfectionist and produces a high level of quality work. He is a self starter and requires minimal to no supervision. He knows what has to be done and does it. Chris is extremely creative with an eye for website development and photography. He produced many of our product images at NRG Systems for use in brochures, sell sheets, and website. I’ve recommended Chris to colleagues and friends for digital marketing projects numerous times. He would be a great hire to your organization or as a consultant.

Chris was extremely professional to work with and constantly introducing new ideas and concepts to the overall design of the site. His excitement and enthusiasm was infectious throughout the project.
We knew we were dealing with someone who is not only technically competent, but who also has a great eye for design details as well! The end result is an outstanding website to which we attribute solely to Chris and his abilities as a web designer.

Chris took a very challenging list of needs I wanted to hit with a ton if specifications and pulled it all together into a clean and elegant design that allows users to navigate effectively with not a lot of effort. Especially impressive was his ability to anticipate and create several incredible features for the site that were not even discussed in our original layout. Any ideas I had he would expand on them to make them better, all while being positive and upbeat!
I would without reservation recommend Chris for any project!
